Dense clumps, mound-shaped, strong-growing, dispersing quickly with seeds.
Size
30-50 cm tall, up to 60 cm wide.
Flowers
Small, in loose, veiled panicles, greenish yellow, June to July, new, fresh green clumps of leaves with weak second flowers in September if cut in time; slightly fragrant; many seeds, very lightly sowing.
Leaves
Rounded, slightly lobed, slightly folded like a fan, silky hairs, dull to fresh green.
Demands
Sun to light shade, semi-shade quite possible but needs staking; tolerates warmth, frost hardy.
Soil
Fresh to moist, occasionally damp; loves nutritious loamy or clay soil.
Our tip
Completely cut back at the end of flowering time to slow the strong seed production and improve the plant#s appearance. Large stands can be mown with a lawn mower.
