Large, majestic, broadly columnar tree, up to 25 m tall, dense, conical to columnar crown, slow-growing, smooth bark, medium growing.
Flowers
Inconspicuous.
Fruit
Dark brown, round, female cones, up to 2 cm in diameter.
Leaves
Evergreen, initially golden yellow, bronze-green when old, in feathery clusters.
Demands
Full sun or semi-shade, frost hardy in protected areas, cold house, responds well to regular clipping.
Natural habitat
Deep, very well drained.
Note
Skin allergies may be increased on contact with the leaves.
