Habit
Large shrub to small tree, 7-9 (12) m tall, 4-5 m wide, loose crown, branches upright, medium to strong-growing, 20-25 cm a year.
Flowers
Yellowish, hanging racemes, May.
Fruits
Green when ripening, later reddish brown.
Leaves
Three-lobed, shiny dark green on top, lighter underneath with red veins, reddish leaf shoots, bright red autumn colours.
Bark
Twigs and stem green with white stripes.
Demands
Sunny to shady, very frost hardy, good for urban and industrial areas, wind resistant.
Soil
For all soil that is not too chalky, good for humic, nutritious, well drained soil.
