Achillea ptarmica 'Boule de Neige'

Dense, upright clump, with short rhizomes that constantly spread, not always steady.

50-70 cm tall.

Small white, button-shaped flower pompons in dense umbel-like inflorescences; (June) July to September; long-lasting with many flowers.

Slenderly lanceolate, pale dark green, little foliage.

Sun to light shade, stable in cold, humid areas, tolerates warmth - but then may need staking; frost hardy; needs wind protection due to its heavy inflorescences.

Fresh to damp, even stagnant water; nutritious soil, -peat, loam or clay or soils low in chalk.
