Initially stocky cushions, gradually spreading into carpets.

10-15 cm tall.

Intense golden yellow in small flower umbels, June to July.

Semi-evergreen; pinnate like ferns, silvery felty shoots, greyish green in summer; sharply aromatic.

Sun, tolerates heat, needs warmth, mostly frost hardy.

Dry to fresh, sensitive to winter dampness; moderately nutritious, only well-drained substrate, otherwise rotting; sandy-rocky, loamy soil with gravel.
