Flowers

Hooded, white and blue, in dense, stocky, panicle-like, but branching inflorescences; June to July.

Leaves

Palmate, deeply divided.

Demands

Sun in cool/cold, humid areas, otherwise no direct sunlight to semi-shady, sensitive to heat, frost hardy.

Soil

Fresh to damp, not dry, nutritious, chalky, humic loam or clay soil.

Special notice

All Aconitum varieties are very poisonous!
