Yellow, half covered by foliage, May.
Fruits
Blue-black, rare.
Leaves
Evergreen, elliptical, somewhat thorny, shiny like varnish, attractive dark green, bluish white underneath.
Demands
Sun to semi-shade; usually frost hardy - more so than other evergreen varieties; good for urban areas.
Soil
Well drained garden soil, fresh to moderately dry; sensitive to soil compaction.
Note
Takes well to cutting.
