Habit

Flowers
Tube-shaped, silvery yellow; may or later, sweet fragrance.
Fruits
Like olives, shiny silvery, edible from September on, sweetish, mealy taste.
Leaves
Ovoid, somewhat wavy, unique silver of both sides; persistent into November without autumn colours.
Roots
Shallow extended, easily and quickly forming runners, clump-like up to 5 m away from shrub; collect nitrogen.
Demands
Only full sun, likes heat and drought, basically frost hardy; tolerant of urban and industrial pollution; wind resistant.
Soil
On all well drained, chalky soil; dry to fresh, tolerates salt.
