Epimedium rubrum 'Coccineum'

Clumps, increasingly broader, but not rampant.

30-40 (50) cm tall.

Carmine-red on the outside, white inside, in loose racemes before leaves shoot, April to May.

Deciduous, in two to three sets of three, pinnate leaflets roughly cordate, bronze-red with green veins when shooting, soon turning green, reddish in autumn.

Light shade to semi-shade, tolerates warmth, frost hardy.

Moderately dry to fresh, nutritious, humic.
