Small, in pinnate umbel-panicles, cream-white, June to August, second blossoms September to October; sweet aromatic fragrance.

Deeply lobed and pinnate, early shoots, pale shiny green on top, whitish underneath, intense #spearmint# aroma, yellowish in autumn.

Sun to semi-shade, frost hardy.

Moist to wet, withstands floods well; nutritious, peat, loam, clay; swamp soil.
