Habit
A semi-shrub or dwarf shrub that forms carpets, 0.1-0.2 m tall, somewhat prostrate, evergreen shoots with two lengthways strips and a few lanceolate, weak leaflets; basic shoots creeping and lignifying.
Flowers
Golden yellow in numerous racemes, May or June.
Roots
Shallow to moderately deep, creeping runners, collect nitrogen.
Demands
Full sun, needs warmth, prefers mild areas but is frost hardy.
Soil
On acidic or neutral, well drained, humic and mineral soil, moderately dry to fresh; not too nutritious.
