Inula magnifica

Giant clumps, strong-growing, dense, upright shoots, broadly thicket-like, does not need staking despite the size.

150-200 cm tall and wide.

Like sunflowers, golden yellow petals, dark yellow disc, in loose umbel-like inflorescences, July to August.

Large, broadly elliptical leaf laminae, basal leaves up to 1 m long, pale green on top, tomentose grey-green below; shoots with reddish spots.

Sun to semi-shade, likes warmth, frost hardy.

Fresh to moist, likes humidity; nutritious, humic, acidic to slightly alkaline, loam or clay.
