Habit
Small shrub, 0.8-1.5 (2) m tall and wide, many shoots but few twigs; gradually like a thicket with short runners; upright and arching; twigs lively green; medium to fast-growing.
Flowers
When leaves shoot, shimmering bowl flowers, end of April to May, some second flowers.
Fruits
Inconspicuous.
Leaves
Oval-lanceolate, pointed, early shoots at end of April; fresh green, green-yellow in November.
Roots
Shallow, with runners.
Demands
Sun to shade, flowers bleached in the sun, longer flowering time in the shade; tolerates warmth, usually frost hardy, occasional damage is no problem, not demanding.
Soil
On all soil that is not too dense.
Note
Fertilising causes it to spread like weeds with few flowers.
