Flowers
White, tube-shaped, inconspicuous, scent of apricots, single or in groups in the axils, autumn, sometimes spring and summer.
Fruit
Blue-black, ovoid berries, up to 1 cm long.
Leaves
Evergreen, elongated to elongated-lanceolate, leathery, entire or finely serrated, dark green, shiny, up to 12 cm long.
Demands
Full sun or semi-shade, sheltered areas, not sufficiently frost hardy, cold house, tolerates hard cutting.
Natural habitat
Dry to moist, moderately acidic to slightly alkaline, adaptive, any well drained, sandy-loamy soil, withering on heavy soil.
