Broadly lanceolate leaves up to 25 cm, grey-green, remotely similar to rushes.
Demands
Sun to no direct sunlight, likes warmth, frost hardy, sensitive to strong waves.
Soil
Moist to permanently flooded, water depth 0-30 cm; stagnant or slowly flowing water, moderately nutritious, humic mud or loam.
Our tip
As the buttercup likes all fertilised, moist areas, it is advisable to block rhizomes completely to prevent invasion; plastic sheets will not work.
