Strong clump, stiffly and densely upright, thick, strong shoots.
Size
110-130 cm tall.
Leaves
Deeply divided, palmate, shiny dark green, often a pretty yellow in autumn, thick and leathery.
Flowers
Conspicuously large, hooded flowers in broadly compact, narrow flower racemes, violet-blue, September to October; one of the best late-blooming varieties.
Demands
No direct sunlight to semi-shady, also sunny if moisture is sufficient, loves cool-humid sites, frost hardy.
Soil
Fresh to moist, not too light, but loamy-humic and nutritious.
Special notice
Whole plant is poisonous.
