Elongated, ovoid, up to 5 cm, berries, green-yellow to brown, good taste.
Leaves
Very large, round or elliptical, green, yellow to brown-red in autumn.
Bark
Young bark and branches hairy with red bristles.
Roots
Shallow.
Demands
Sun to semi-shade, tolerant of heat, otherwise warm; frost hardy, prefers high humididty.
Soil
Dry to moist; slightly acidic to alkaline, sandy-loamy substrates should be poor or plant will grow too fast and lose its frost hardiness.
