Habit
A medium shrub, 2-2.5 m tall and wide, compact, dense foliage, forming suckers, slow-growing.
Flowers
White, star-shaped, three to six flowers in axial panicles, up to 3 cm wide, sweetish fragrance, spring/autumn; diffuse, irregular flowering behaviour without main flowering period.
Leaves
Evergreen, shiny dark green, fanned out like fingers, with three oval, obovate single leaflets without stems, up to 8 cm long, aromatic when rubbed.
Demands
Sun to shade, somewhat frost hardy, cold house, responds well to pruning.
Natural habitat
Well drained, humic, nutritious soil, avoid chalk.
